Gearing up through Heroic 5-mans

I highly recommend running heroic 5 mans and getting to revered status with some of the WotLK factions.  The ilvl 200 blues that are available at revered reputation and off the various bosses are quite good -- the gear from 10 man Naxxramas are marginal upgrades over those blues (ilvl 200 purple vs. ilvl 200 blue).  The epic loot from the end bosses in 5 man heroic, at exalted reputation with the WotLK factions, and the emblem of heroism vendor (including T7 gloves and T7 chest -- get your 2 piece bonus without setting foot in Naxxramas!) are the same as in Naxxramas. ilvl 200 purple from Anub'Rekhan in Naxxramas 10 You'll also find that there are different flavors of a particular type of gear in various heroics so you don't have to just farm one.  The following four ilvl 200 blue cloth shoulders all work fine for healing and were a huge upgrade over the T5 shoulders I was clinging to. http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4.1&filte ... rs=2;crv=0 You don't have to wait for Naxxramas 10 to get geared up for 25 man raiding.  You can use www.wowhead.com and various other sites to filter gear and figure out where the upgrades are -- you'll usually find that every heroic has something that you can use. THESE ARE BETTER FOR TANKING THAN T7!!!  Waist - Sharp-Barbed Leather Belt  From Ingvar the Plunderer in Heroic Utgarde Keep Legs - Legguards of Swarming Attacks from Amanitar in heroic Ahn'Kahet  for expertise and more stamina(from a gem) Leg Option #2 - Chain Gang Legguards  for more agility and +hit.  This is a BOE you can buy on the AH. Ring - Band of Torture from Drakos the Interrogator in heroic Oculus Trinket - Essence of Gossamer from Hadronox in Heroic Azjol-Nerub Trinket - Valor Medal of the First War for 40 Emblems of Heroism from badge vendor. Weapon - Enraged Feral Staff From Ingvar the Plunderer in Heroic Utgarde Keep Back - Flowing Cloak of Command from Salramm in NORMAL Culling of Stratholme(if you want an armor back)  Idol -   Idol of Terror  from BC badge loot is still the best for mitigation.   However you can pick up Idol of Perspicacious Attacks from the dailies in Grizzly Hills if you are in need of additional threat. Feet - Gorloc Muddy Footwraps  from Eck the Ferocious in heroic Gun'drak.    Also feral druids remember!!! If you see epic weapons drop like daggers, fistweapons, and maces in heroics that are going to get sharded, grab them!!! As of 3.0.2 Blizzard will be changing the stats of most of the weapons in the game in order that feral druids can equip them!  Many of these will become viable DPS choices with tons of feral AP on them.
