Hey guys,I won't be able to make it Thursday night for the 25-man :(. I have to attend a Newport Beach City Planning Commission Meeting that begins at 6:30, and judging by the agenda, it won't be a short meeting. I plan to try to get back as quickly as I can, but I definitely will not make the first pulls or possibly any Hydross attempts.-Jerome/Athha

Athha is back on the table! I'm being sent to a different planning council meeting next week instead of this week...a temporary reprieve :). Lets get Hydross down!

Just ignore the tanking on the first boss -- I had my inventory and character open trying to modify crap when I realized I had my SB gear on rather than my avoidance. :)   I should probably define that as a separate "boss" outfit instead of swapping out specific gear from a bag.

No worries. My first night Main Tanking Kara I was so nervous I accidentally had left two leather DPS pieces on. I'd logged out the previous day with them on in case WoWjutsu scanned, then when I came on for Kara saw my shield + sword and figured I was already in tanking geear. Whoops. Fortunately it was only the crappy first bosses and no one noticed. I still always check now :)

I think this was the one that killed me on Gruul ..00:39'02.049    Gruul the Dragonkiller's Melee hits Chuunks for 12881 (crushing)I've noticed a problem I run into while using shield wall --- first, I stop getting the constant healer love so when it ends, it appears to burst damage.  But mainly I need to anticipate coming out of it and have my block up and thunderclap on.  I know I really shouldn't have, we had plenty of DPS left - but I shield walled and then started executing Gruul at 10% - I was back in defensive stance by the time it wore off, but I definately wasn't ready for an unblocked 11th grow crush on my skull.

Is there something we can do as healers to help prevent this? Maybe overheal while you are shield walled?

After a recent update I had a massive slowdown when trying to walk through Shattrath, unmeasurable fps - it was like fp  every other s.  I disabled almost all my mods and only reinstalled those specifc for raiding or that I've become completely reliant on (grid/unitframes/bongos/clique).  Anyways, I disabled "TankBuddy" and I think I need it back on.TankBuddy announces important tanking things -- like when a taunt fails, or when I use AOE taunt - but specifically there's one for Shield Wall where I can proactively raid-alert the wall.  Additionally, it's that added layer of defense against any mischevious or misclicking Pallies who like to salv tanks. ;)For the most part, Shield Wall should not be something relied on in an encounter, it's an "oh crap".  This one fight is perhaps the exception -- I popped it a little early and he had a couple percent left when I came out.  I think the only adjustments need to be made on my part actually ... I'll announce the wall and I'll be ready for it to fall.  In a perfect world (no lag, endless rage,no worries about a threat race) I shouldn't receive anything but the occasional parry-crush, 12k is a pretty hefty spike to plan for, THAT was probably the best time to use shield wall.

I have never had any problems in any cities with lag, but Shatt is horrible lately.
