Loot Reaver

It looks like Loot Reaver will be back to normal in the next patch. Tempest Keep: The Eye Void Reaver's Arcane orbs now generate combat log entries.

Sweet since VR was so dificult before /eyeroll Anyway, I don't really care about this change as long as we keep the same strat and people still pay attention to where orbs are going. Ranged/healers are not going to have everyone's position memorized and even the people next to you will likely change, so you still need to gtfo when you see an orb coming toward you.

We used to assign spots for groups so that healing and orb call-outs were organized...it made it really easy.

Hmm...a little too easy. Dungeons aren't fun unless you're wiping.

If you're refering to the way we did it in Driven i'm going to have to disagree. Perhaps it was easier on healing, but it took more people out the fight every orb and as a ranged dps I HATED that strat. What that does is that every time there's an orb 4-5 people are taken out of the fight because they have to run back, you CAN NOT run sideways because people will get moved around and hanging out in different groups and the whole point is gone. IMO we beat VR in hard-mode on 3 tries w/ everyone spreading out, this way only 1 - 2 people are taken out of the fight per orb and you can move sideways. It does require slightly more work for the healers since who they'll be able to heal is changing. However this fight does have an enrage timer so taking a bunch of ranged dps out of the fight every orb isn't a great idea. This is all IMO, in Driven i had nothing but heartache on that fight because of that strat, it went a lot cleaner the way we did it.

with the exception of one of the last weeks of that guild's life, on the runs that I went on we one-shotted VR /shrug.  If people aren't retarded and are spread out while still in groups then the whole group shouldn't have to run back afaik...

Yea, we one-shot him last night still in "hard-mode" - no need to fix something that's not broken :-p

I hope I'm not the only one having a blast in TK -- I love these 3 fights. :D Ask me in a month and I'll sing a different tune ..

I definitely enjoy TK. Consistently fun raid bosses ftw. Al'ar is esp enjoyable. It's one of my favorite fights in BC.
