Gruuls!
Hey guys! Awesome run in Gruuls last night! There were 3 drops off HK-- I didnt get them, but they went to Thandrenn, Dudepal and ? (I can't remember the last one
). It was nice to see so many people show up prepared and ready to go. Just a reminder however, do not get discouraged when it takes us several tries to take down a new thing (I am guilty of this). Also, it was great to see everyone do their part. With that said, just in general with instances like these (10 and 25 mans) team success depends on everyone being on their Game! 1 person off can wipe the group. Especially until we are more comfortable with it. Maybe in the future when we have cleared it without problems, we can try to 24 man it, or even try it with people AFK. If you have a problem, or don't understand something please speak up before the fight starts. You can always send an ingame tell to a raid leader before the fight starts, or simply don't click the Ready button on the ready check (hehe). Another thing that came to my mind in the HK fight was everyone has a part to do. I don't know quite how all of the other classes/individual parts were. When healing and seeing Zuklen go down, it occured to me that maybe there should be a backup plan for healers to try to take on someone else's role should they go down. If someone's assigned healer goes down, they may not realize that they are going to be short on heals. Also with the actual Gruul's fight, If we can have specific groups go into certain areas. I was having a lot of 'Out of Range' problems with healing just because the room was so big. It was hard to know who was by me and who wasn't as I watched health bars go down and even tried moving around to try to find people. Just a thought on that, we can discuss it more later! One last thing. It would be sooo nice to finish off gruul's this week. Is there a day when we can try to get everyone on and go finish it? It shouldnt take that long once everyone is there and ready. Can't be more than a 15 minute fight and we were so close last night even with just half of the group alive! I don't know about anyone else's schedules, but I am open the following days : Thursday, Saturday, Sunday Lets get this done! May as well keep going since we did take down HK!

Gruuls!
Yeah that was a lot of fun, it was great to see FA take down our first 25-man raid boss as a guild. I'm definitely up for getting back in there, maybe a weekend night will work since tonight is halloween and Thursday is Kara for many. We should announce anything on the guild message of the day since I don't think many check the website during the weekend. Maybe we could do something on Sunday before the Kara group starts, something like 4PM server time (or just after Patriots-Colts)? So is Tuesday going to be our weekly raid night, or Wednesday? I don't have a good answer as one of those nights is bad for many, but will try to change my schedule if it's set for a particular night. Also, I agree with range problems when healing for Gruul. It was tricky with so many spreading out and of course the everyone fly around, run away from eachother and try not to die thing...I guess Blizz wanted to keep people on their toes. But I think we got a feel for the fight and will get him down next time we try, even if it takes a few tries. - Jon (Myrdinn)

I like the idea of trying Gruul again this weekend sometime. And I agree with Jon that it should most certainly happen sometime after Vikings v. Chargers and Colts v. Patriots. I also like Tuesdays as our Gruul's night. We had, what, 23 FA people there last night? If we can keep that a regular thing we should be able to get the whole instance done in less than an hour eventually.

A brutal post asking for advice about Gruul's lair attempts. But a LOT of good information here.http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 1586&sid=1
