Taking down Raptor God in ZG

We had a little discussion about how to do this monday night. I was in a PUG once where the raid leader had me MT the raptor dude at the side of the base of the pyramid while everyone ran up to the top of the pyramid and ranged DPS him while I tanked. Worked like a charm and there were no deaths. Just an FYI on another way to do it. I do not know exactly where people were standing up at the top since I was at the bottom, but I recall the raid leader stating that everyone needed to be up there or it would not work. Any thoughts on this? Robert

I've been in a pug where this was done. I consider this approach an exploit. As history has shown, we are a guild which does not need to resort to such tactics. We take our challenges head on. Honestly, I no longer worry about the raptor boss... he's just a chump with a big lizard we one shot every time we take him on.

Its good to know the other options before us and thanks for the info. I think... wait, I know we're more honorable than some that take the easy way out. We get our loot the reaaaaalllyyyyyy old fasioned way... we earn it! hehe.

OK OK, I didn't know that this tactic was considered a cheap shot. I just posted this since we spontaneously got an FA group together monday night, one of the PUGs that we recruited suggested it, and we did it the old fashioned way and wiped. I was MT so maybe it was me!

Nah... it wasn't you. Most likely it was one of the PUGs who got watched and decided to panic. Tis ok... we'll get him first thing tongiht.

lol... Raptor isn't so tough if everyone listens to the raid leader and follows their role. The biggest things are "bieng watched" and someone who wanders off and aggros the boss before the group is ready

It HAS happened... not to us of course... lol
