We're tied for 15th Destromath Alliance guild on WoW progress. I'm ok with that rank, except that I've never even heard of half the Alliance guilds in front of us!! We need to pick it up!! I want everyone to study up on Chimaeron and Ascendant Council. If we can down these two bosses we'd move up from tied for 15th to tied for 7th.

I have somewhat of a strategy for Chimaeron on the Raid forums. It may be something we want to try.

Exile got Maloriak last week, so we're still only one boss ahead of them. We can't let a bunch of smelly gnomes from a PvE server (*cough* Dustin *cough*) be ahead of us!

Dustin who? We're really only competing against the guilds on our server for recruits. A higher position will mean higher quality recruits. Once we get our two groups consistently running then it won't matter.

Hahahah I knew you'd like that one!!

On a side note, if you could narrow the list down to only guilds who raided 6 hours a week, we'd probably be up there a lot higher.

I'll have Cory put up invites for every day except Tues/Thurs. Accept to every day you can reliably make it. Don't worry, we won't start raiding 5 days a week I just want to know what day would possibly be best to add as a 3rd day. For now, we'll only add a MAX of one day. If none of the other days end up being suitable for raiding maybe we'll switch to a 4 hour a day schedule. I'm inclined to try this because of flask timers. This is worth a try, if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out and we'll keep rolling how we are.

I would be more inclined to just raid another hour on the two nights we already go than add a third night. That means you only have to give up a bit more time when we are already raiding. However a 4 hr raid night is getting close to hardcore, that can start to feel pretty grindy during progression.

That more what I would prefer too.

So 7:00 to 11:00 or 7:30 to 11:30?

I think 4 hours would work well because then we aren't losing an hour off our flasks.

It boils down to if you want to raid 8 hours or 9 hours.

I was actually hoping for a Wednesday raid night. Towards the end of the night on most raid nights I'm already pretty drained so I don't know how I'd be if we added another hour to it. I'm willing to give it a shot though and see how everyone likes it.

EXAMPLE RAID SCHEDULE

6:45 Assemble raid group, make your own way to the raid instance. (You should have already gotten your flasks and food)
7:00 Flask Up. Pull.
9:00 Flasks Expire. 15min break.
9:15 Flask Up. Pull
11:15 Flasks Expire. Raid over.

Total raid time 4 hours 30 minuets.

The part of the raid night that is draining for me, is that we are ending at 11:00pm. I'm getting older, and trying to be more responsible (i.e. make it to work on time) so an earlier start would be nice for me. The other way that would be nice for me is if we moved it to a Friday/Saturday raid instead of a Sun/Mon raid.

The sample is fine with me. The only other day that would work well for me is Tuesday but that conflicts with the other raid.

Well I wanted to leave Tues/Thurs alone in case we had to cross swords however Rathr told me last night they had 14 people accept to the raid. That is awesome and may make Tues/Thurs something we can look at. Just to clarify we aren't going to do anything new this week. I just wanted to open discussion on adding time. I strongly believe it is something we are going to have to do in the very near future because our raid pace is such that we would not be able to fit all 12 bosses into 2 nights even if they were all 1 shots.

Something Rathr just suggested is that if we did it on Tuesdays we could wait to start till after the other raid formed. Say 8:30 or 9:00.. Even that extra 2 hours would give us enough time to down the bosses we farm. Halfus, V&T, Magmaw, Conclave, ODS (Hopefully), Maloriak.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are bad for me for the next three weeks. After that Tuesdays should be fine.

I guess I would rather do a raid that started earlier on one of the days that we are already using. Otherwise if we add another night, I could really only do mon, wed, maybe friday nights. Also if we work on our efficiency a bit we could probably get a few more pulls in than we are right now. I always prefer to be raiding hardcore style in a casual environment... I can elaborate on this a later, but its probably not a big deal.

I was tell Rathr last night about how I know we need to raid more efficiently but I just don't see it happening. I am aware that her and I are two of the biggest reason our raid goes slow but right now I really can't help that. We are trying to have Noah in bed before raid time but it doesn't work out every night. We usually sleep in on the weekends so when Sun/Mon night rolls around he's not tired yet. So yes I know we need to cut down on afk's but I just don't see it happening in reality.
