greetings. welcome to the new new web site! i hope this is a starting point for something that will be more stable and functional from now on. i'm still working on it and setting some things up and a lot of links are probably broken, but it should good enough that we can switch over to it. everyone's user name and password from the old site should work here. if not, or if you have any other questions or issues, please let me know. thanks!

i think links should be fixed now.
also, there's a bunch of settings you can play with in the user control panel.
you'll probably at least want to set your timezone under board preferences.

Btw I haven't toyed with it yet but can I customize it to look like the site you had before? When it was all dark and stuff?

there are only the two default themes on the site at the moment. i'm still trying to find one that works well, as there's generally something not quite right with most of the ones i find. if there's anything in particular anyone was looking for style-wise, there's a bunch here to check out:

There we go. I have way too much fun with these things.

a quick update on the site. i couldn't find a theme that i liked and was not broken, so i ended up customizing one of the default themes a bit. it's closer to where i want it to be, but not quite there yet, although i'm not sure i'll be spending much more time on it any time soon. it's possible that i broke something in the layout, so if anyone notices something that seems a bit off, please let me know.
also, the minimal theme is available now for those that would prefer to browse the site in less obvious fashion at one of those work type places
if anyone has any other suggestions for the site / forums, please let me know.

the forgedalliance.org domain transfer was completed last night, so everyone should be using the regular domain now. due to the way the login / cookies for the forum work, the temporary domain will no longer work properly.

Is there any reason why I can't log into the site on my phone?

i dunno, maybe? it seems to work fine on my phone (android), but i have no idea for other phones.
again, you need to be using http://www.forgedalliance.org, as the old temp domain will not work properly anymore. you may also want to try clicking the "delete all board cookies" link at the bottom right of the site.

I'm using an android phone as well, and I think it may be the trying to connect to the .4sitemedia one. I'll try again soon :>

Its working fine with my iPod, but not surprising since my iPod is using the same DNS server as my PC right now. Maybe the DNS servers just aren't all updated yet? Or if the DNS cache needs to be updated - I have no idea if mobile devices store a DNS cache though or if its possible to manually purge it).
