DKP Policy Suggestions

meh, either way, I don't mind.
finally, i believe tiered dkp has been discussed before, and i would vote for that as well. tldr: i'm pretty sure we could discuss this forever, just adding my 2¢ from a couple different angles, /agree with hpInori wrote I propose that for Naxxramas, we maintain a zero-sum DKP system on the side, but not use it for actual loot assignment. This would allow us to see if open rolling achieves 'successful' loot distribution in terms of raid progression, morale, and perceived fairness. This will also allow us to have the infrastructure in place if Blizzard decides to kick the difficulty up a notch in Ulduar. -HP
i like this idea, as it is relatively simple, and i'm a big fan of simple things, especially when it comes to something as tedious as loot distribution. however, and please do not take this the wrong way, i don't think this would work for fa. we are not a hardcore progression guild that everyone would feel privileged to be a part of. we are a casual raiding guild with a relatively low barrier to entry. therefore, gm2 and gm3 hear about what gm1 has been up to in fa, join up, get their purplez, /gquit, and leave a bunch of annoyed and frustrated people behind. this may sound stupid, but it has happened before (if you're really bored you can probably go forum spelunking and read about such things), and i will not be surprised if / when it happens again.Wadup wrote You might say this is unfair that GM1 can come in and take 5 epix. But in reality, GM1 getting gear is benefitting the guild because he no longer pulls in 200 less dps than thandrenn, thus bosses die faster and more loot is possible. Plus, as you can see he still has 1 less item than everyone else anyway. I did this system for the first 3 weeks of the expansion and if its good enough for the number 1 guild out of all the oceanic guilds, im pretty sure it can work for us![]()
